State Flintlock Championship Events and Rules
Open to KY residents only. Pre 1840 period dress required.
$15.00 Entry Fee. $800.00 Prize Moneys
Paper Match Distance Target
1) All Shooters 25 yd Big Bull
2) All Shooters 50 yd Big Bull
Woods Walk Varying Distances Target
3) All Shooters Diamond Gong
4) All Shooters Spinner
5) All Shooters Turkey Head
6) All Shooters Vertical Bar
7) All Shooters Ram
8) All Shooters Chain
9) All Shooters Rubber bands
10) All Shooters J-Gong
11) All Shooters X-Gong
12) All Shooters Snake
Matches 1- 2 five shots on paper, 3-12 one shot targets.
$800.00 Prize Moneys: pay out based on number of shooters. All shooters win.
1) Any full stock or half-stock flintlock rifle maybe used with patched round ball. Primitive fixed open sights only.
2) Prescription Eye glasses allowed.
3) Eye safety or shooting glasses (no colored lens) allowed.
4) Pre-1840 dress required. Period dress required from head to toe. Range officials to make final decision.
5) Loading from shooting bag. Traditional ramrods only – no metal range rods.
6) All matches shot off-hand.
7) No smoking allowed in loading area or on firing line.
8) No alcoholic beverages to be consumed during the event.
9) Range officer of the day to make final determination on dress, hit-miss on targets, etc…
